I get bored. I have always been cursed with a severe case of boredom, and I hated it. Most of my days would look something like this: me rushing to get my work done early, then being bored. I did not like this, but now I realize that it forced me to be creative. As I get older and busier, I have less time to be bored. Now, I miss it. I miss the time I used to have to think, create, and achieve, but perhaps there are still ways for busy people to find time to be bored. Here are some ideas. 3 powerful ways to get bored1. Be quick and productive
Work can take a long time. Sometimes this is unavoidable, but sometimes we just make it take longer by procrastination. If we push to get our work done, we will end up with more time to be bored. 2. Wander Wandering both physically and mentally will most likely lead to boredom which will lead to creativity. 3. Watch a YouTube video on how to fix pipes This is the most boring thing I can think of. Try it! It'll work. Boredom is the path to creativity (in my experience), and can be very beneficial. I know it's two days late, but here's this week's post. :) Color is such a big part of our everyday lives, but imagine your world without it. Some things would look dull without color, but for some things, beauty may be enhanced in a black and white world. Take the time to see your world without color. Perhaps you'll be pleasantly surprised. Do you enjoy black and white photos? Tell me in the comments below.
People say a lot of stuff. Most of it is rubbish, but once in a while, someone says something worth writing down and putting on an index card on your desk. Here are some of my favorite things people have said about nature. "I want to do to you what spring does to cherry trees." "In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks." "The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep." "Colors are the smiles of nature." "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. An let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens and give light upon the earth." Do you have any favorite quotes? On the corner of a high shelf on the wall lies a very large old book. This nature study guide is full of very old, now-yellow scraps of paper. Some were cut out newspapers, and others magazines. Others seem to be bookmarks or greeting cards of some sort. Also between the pages of this book are a multitude of leaves. These leaves seem to have been imprisoned between the pages for decades. This antique book (and the items within) are absolute treasures. It is incredible to flip through these pages and examine these items which have been hidden between the pages for years.
