On the corner of a high shelf on the wall lies a very large old book. This nature study guide is full of very old, now-yellow scraps of paper. Some were cut out newspapers, and others magazines. Others seem to be bookmarks or greeting cards of some sort. Also between the pages of this book are a multitude of leaves. These leaves seem to have been imprisoned between the pages for decades. This antique book (and the items within) are absolute treasures. It is incredible to flip through these pages and examine these items which have been hidden between the pages for years.

Hi JSM! I'm not sure who the original owner was who left all the scraps in the book... We got it at a used book store. The author of the book is Anna Botsford Comstock who wrote the book in 1912.

My family and I bought it in a used bookstore many years ago. It's nice to flip through these old pages every once in a while. New surprises every time! :)
